3 Ways to Include Coconut Oil in Your Hair Routine

1. Pre-poo

For my high porosity curl friends, pre-pooing is a great way to retain moisture in your hair for longer. Check out this Green Beauty tutorial on pre-pooing and which is better for your hair type.

2. DIY Hair Cream

Years ago I made this whipped butter for skin and hair and filmed a tutorial for YouTube. Coconut oil and shea butter is my favourite blend, especially in the colder winter months. If you aren't the DIY type you can check out my current favourite blend by Saka Luxe Beauty.

3. Hot Oil Treatment

Give your curls some TLC with a hot oil treatment. There are hundreds of different recipes, here's one to get you started.

Before we go, we should let you know that coconut oil isn't for everyone. Some people love it and others absolutely HATE IT! You've been warned. As with all hair and skin products start with a patch test, trial it in your hair routine and if it's not working, cut it out. Let your hair speak to you the same way the rest of your body does.
